Free XML Sitemap Generator – For Any Website or Blogger Blog
An XML sitemap tells Google and other search engines exactly which pages on your site exist and are worth crawling. Without one, search engines still discover pages by following links, but they may miss deeper or less-linked pages entirely, and new pages can take much longer to appear in search. This free tool builds a valid sitemap.xml file for any website by pasting in a list of URLs, and for Blogger blogs specifically, it gives you the exact ready-made sitemap links that Blogger already generates for you automatically.
For a general website, paste your page URLs, choose a default priority and change frequency, and generate a complete, standards-compliant sitemap file you can download and upload to your site's root folder. For Blogger, simply enter your blog address to get the correct sitemap.xml link (plus any additional paginated links if you have a large blog) to submit directly in Google Search Console.
Does Blogger Need a Custom Sitemap?
Usually not. Blogger automatically maintains its own sitemap at yourblog.com/sitemap.xml and updates it whenever you publish, so most Blogger users only need to submit that link in Search Console rather than build one manually. The general website builder is still useful for Blogger users who want a curated sitemap for something specific, like a set of label or archive pages, or for anyone running a self-hosted blog on Blogger's custom domain setup who wants to control the priority and change frequency values explicitly. If you have published more than 150 posts, Blogger splits its sitemap across multiple paginated URLs — the Blogger tab in this tool calculates exactly how many pages you need based on your post count, so nothing gets left out when you submit the sitemap to Google.
How to Submit Your Sitemap to Google
Once you have your sitemap file or URL, the next step is telling Google it exists. Go to Google Search Console, select your property, and open the Sitemaps section under the left menu. Paste either the full URL of your sitemap (for Blogger: https://yourblog.blogspot.com/sitemap.xml) or upload the file to your site's root so it is reachable at yourdomain.com/sitemap.xml, then paste that URL. Submit it and Google will fetch and process the file within a few hours to a few days. If you have a large site with more than 50,000 URLs or a sitemap bigger than 50 MB, Google requires you to split it into multiple files and reference them from a sitemap index — but for the vast majority of blogs and small websites, a single sitemap file is all you need. You can also submit the same sitemap to Bing Webmaster Tools, which reads the same format. And remember: a sitemap is a hint, not a ranking boost. It helps Google discover your pages faster, but the pages themselves still need to be worth indexing.
Private, Fast, and Completely Free
Everything runs entirely inside your browser using JavaScript, so your URL list is never uploaded or stored on a server. It works instantly on Windows, Mac, Android, and iPhone, with no sign-up and no limit on how many sitemaps you generate. Copy or download the result, and your URLs stay private on your own device.
